I offer clinical supervision to practitioners who are qualified or in training. Alongside my private practice, I also work as clinical supervisor for a mental health charity where I offer group supervision on a monthly basis.
As humanistic integrative supervisor, I adopt a holistic approach drawing upon a range of modalities. I take into account the client's attachment and developmental history, their experience of trauma, socio-cultural issues, existential life issues, neuroscience, their capacity for growth and the relational dynamics within the therapeutic relationship including parallel process. I consider the supervisory relationship to be collaborative mutual endeavour; I am interested in my superivsee's experience of the client, their formulation of the client's presentation and the problems they are grappling with. My aim is to provide support, offer alternatives, stimulate curiosity and encourage professionalism.
Individual supervision sessions last for 50 minutes and tend to be held on a fortnightly basis.
Group supervision sessions for up to 3 people, last for either 2/3 hours and tend to take place on a monthly basis.
If you are interested in supervision with me, please contact me to discuss my approach and what might be possible.
